The roots of Ayurveda Kala Mandiram trace back to a unique luminary in the world of holistic healing—Pandita Shatavadhani Ayurvedacharya Swargiya V.T.V. Ramanuja Swamy Garu (born June 3, 1901). An erudite scholar, prolific journalist, and master of Sanskrit and Telugu literature, Pandit Ramanujaswamy dedicated his life to the revival and upliftment of Ayurveda.

A Vast Journey of Knowledge

Literary Mastery: He achieved deep proficiency in traditional languages and literature under celebrated scholars like Vedam Venkataraya Sastry. His brilliance was publicly recognized through his flawless performances of Ashtavadhana and Shatavadhana across prominent cultural hubs like Gadwal, Vijayanagaram, Pithapuram, and Madras.

Ayurvedic Scholarship: Driven by an insatiable quest for medical knowledge, he mastered Ayurveda under the legendary Kashinathuni Nageshwara Sastry at Tenali, and later spent four years in the Darbhanga Samsthanam studying under the revered Vaman Trivikram Bhattacharya.

Institutional Pioneer: Upon settling in Hyderabad, he became a pillar of the region's medical landscape. He founded the Deccan Ayurveda Mandal, worked as an influential lecturer and physician at the Nizam Ayurvedic College and Sadar Davakhana, and presided over the prestigious 20th Ayurveda Parishad Vidyapeetha.

In 1941, Pandit Ramanujaswamy officially established Ayurveda Kala Mandiram in Hyderabad to create a centralized sanctuary for authentic, deep-rooted healing. Driven by a spirit of philanthropy, he also established free Ayurvedic dispensaries in rural regions like Guruguntla and Choddapuram to bring healing to the masses.

With over 65 years of profound medical practice, his pulse diagnosis (Nadi Pariksha) and clinical precision brought healing to countless patients across generations.

Today, the unbroken ancestral wisdom remains in expert hands. Dr. V.T. Ramanuja Swamy, the elder son of Dr. V.T. Ranga Charyulu Garu, continues the family's medical legacy with over 40 years of dedicated clinical experience.

For decades, Dr. Ramanuja Swamy worked side-by-side with his father—the revered "Apara Dhanvantari"—absorbing the complete breadth of generational expertise, specialized treatment formulations, and the precise art of pulse diagnosis (Nadi Pariksha). Following his father's passing, he continues to single-handedly carry forward this sacred trust and maintain the rigorous healing standards established in 1941.
